Rector Square residents angry about living conditions

In the local newspaper Battery
Park City Broadsheet, Rector Square residents spoke out about their
poor living conditions. Residents said construction has allegedly halted on the
hallways, rooftop deck, pool and lobby, but they are still paying maintenance
for amenities. The front entrance is reportedly covered with plywood,
so people living in the building have to use a temporary side door.
Several dozen apartments have been remodeled, but more remain
half-completed or not started yet. One resident said “my floor still
looks like a construction site,” and that the upper floors of the
building are not close to being finished. The Real Deal reported last
week that Rector Square’s sales office was closed, and that
construction is expected to resume in February.
