The Deutsche Bank building standpipe that was broken yesterday has been repaired, officials said. Workers ripping out drywall on the building’s second floor in the process of demolishing the building reportedly fractured the pipe. The same standpipe was broken in 2007 and caused problems during the 2007 Deutsche Bank fire because firefighters were unable to get water to the building’s upper floors. Some workers were back on the site today.
