The shingles are falling off St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church in the Marble Hill neighborhood of the Bronx, and the windows are damaged. The congregation is trying to raise money for a $1.5 million renovation project that includes making the building more accessible and installing new floors and lighting. The church needs to raise $500,000 more to add to the $1 million donation it has already received from the United Methodist City Society and Park Avenue Methodist Trust Fund. [NY1]
