Early interest in renting has been strong at 1926 Crotona Parkway, a new 96-unit affordable rental development for seniors in the East Tremont section of the Bronx since the opening of the unique 62-and-up development last month. Unlike other seniors-only properties in the area, 1926 Crotona Parkway features two-bedroom units available for $823 per month. “As a growing number of American seniors raise their grandchildren, these types of units are in greater demand,” said Marc Altheim, principal at Atlantic Development Group, which developed the project with non-profit Highbridge Community Development Organization. The development will feature a landscaped backyard space and a common area which will double as a relaxation lounge and venue for lectures. TRD
