Jonathan Rose Companies has launched a new affordable housing private equity fund, formed in part with a $23 million investment from Goldman Sachs Group. The fund, known as the Rose New Jersey Green Affordable Housing Preservation Fund, will focus on upgrading “assets through a ‘green’ capital improvement and operations program,” according to a statement from the company. Jonathan Rose, president of his eponymous company, noted that he would be working closely with Goldman through the launch of the fund. “We are delighted to be working with Goldman Sachs and continue our efforts to benefit the lower-income families of New Jersey,” Rose said. “There is an increasing need for quality affordable housing in urban areas.” TRD
