The 150,000-square-foot facility at Bedford and Union avenues, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, could be made into a “Chelsea Market-style development, a recreation center, a senior center [or] a small-business incubator for food production,” according to the Journal.

Many members of the community, including Rabbi Jacob Goldstein, chairman of the local community board, would like the re-purposing to follow in the footsteps of the Park Slope armory, which became a YMCA. [WSJ]
