Westchester-based GDC Properties has completed its first New York City project, and renters can begin moving into the five-story 134-unit factory conversion at 220 Water Street, the firm said today.
The rental building was converted from the century-old former Hanan & Son shoe factory and features 14-foot ceilings and the industrial facade from its original use.
The building hit the market in January under an internal leasing team, which said it has leased about 25 percent of the units.
The units range from 633 square feet to 1,480 square feet and rent for between $2,700 and $5,775 per month.
The building has a 30-foot-high lobby with a coffee bar, lounge areas and access to Abigail Michaels Concierge services. Other amenities include a roof deck with a fireplace and barbecue grill, a fitness center, on-site reserved parking and storage facilities. — Adam Fusfeld
