Art dealer Hillel Nahmad has purchased his fifth apartment at the Trump Tower, located at 721 Fifth Avenue, the New York Observer reported. Nahmad nabbed unit 51C, which was not publicly listed, for $2.8 million.

Nahmad has been buying units on the 51st floor of the Trump Tower since 1999, as The Real Deal previously reported. His most recent purchase puts him one unit ahead of the Kirsh family, which closed on their fourth unit at another Trump building, the Trump International Hotel & Tower at 1 Central Park West, this past March.

A trust affiliated with Philip Kirsh and Linda Mirels, the son and daughter of South African businessman Nathan Kirsh, paid $6.5 million for the apartment, as TRD reported.

Nahmad’s acquisition totals just over 1,000 square feet. Nahmad purchased the home from Beech Road LLC, an unidentified entity that paid $950,000 for the unit in 2003. This is Nahmad’s first purchase in a couple of years. In 2010, he bought a unit for $5 million, followed by another one that he bought for $2.6 million. [NYO]Zachary Kussin
