The Lightstone Group will begin leasing the 12-story, 199-unit Gantry Park Landing rental in Long Island City this summer, according to a company release, with Brooklyn brokerage aptsandlofts.com serving as the exclusive leasing and marketing agent.
The building is located at 50-01 Second Street by the waterfront and includes a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom homes. Units will feature industrial-style design, with floor-to-ceiling double-paned windows with opaque glass detailing, as well as gray oak and white lacquer kitchens with white stone counter tops. Some units will have private outdoor space.
The developer did not release rents for Gantry Park Landing.
Building amenities include a fitness center and separate yoga room, a club room, game room, landscaped roof deck, bicycle storage and common interior courtyard.
Lightstone CEO and Chairman David Lichtenstein pitched the project as a more “intimate” development than some of the others in Long Island City — a sentiment echoed by David Maundrell, founder of aptsandlofts.com.
“With just under 200 apartments,” Maundrell said in the release, “residents will enjoy a more tight-knit community than some of the larger scale properties along the waterfront, yet still be able to enjoy a full range of amenities and services typically found in a more sizable development.” —Zachary Kussin
