Argo Residential taps ex-Stonehenge director to head sales

Barry Brandt, the former management director of leasing at Stonehenge Partners,  has been tapped to join Argo Residential’s brokerage division as director of sales.

Brandt’s hiring, according to Argo, is a bid to extend the firm’s presence on the Upper West Side and other Manhattan neighborhoods. Brandt will also focus on increasing the number of agents under his leadership.

“Barry possesses the skills and qualities we’ve been searching for,” Mark Moskowitz, CEO of Argo, said in a statement. “With growth being our main objective, he was our ideal candidate.”

Prior to his hiring at Argo, Brandt worked on projects under developers Larry Silverstein, Harry Macklowe, Hal Fetner and Laurie Zucker. During his time at Stonehenge, he oversaw a luxury portfolio that included the Ritz Plaza, the Olivia — which SL Green Realty picked up from Stonehenge for $386 million last month — 20 Park Avenue and 8 Gramercy. — Julie Strickland
