Simone inks big lease at 42-acre Bronx medical complex

Kidney dialysis service Fresenius Medical Care North America has inked a deal for 17,000 square feet at Metro Center Atrium, Simone Healthcare Development Group’s medical complex in the Pelham Bay section of the Bronx.

The deal at 1200 Waters Place is the latest for Simone’s 370,000-square-foot, 42-acre office, retail and hotel complex that is the most recent phase of the firm’s multi-building Hutchinson Metro Center campus development. The Metro Center complex includes three floors of Class A medical, office, retail and restaurant space.

Next up for the complex is the development of Tower One, at 1250 Waters Place, which will feature a 280,000-square-foot Class A office space spread over nine floors. The building is already fully leased and occupied. Tower Two, adjacent to 1250 Waters Place and currently nearing completion, is to be fully leased by Montefiore Medical Center. — Julie Strickland
