A two-acre oceanfront property in Southampton has sold for $23 million. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and Coopers Neck Pond, the 8,000-square-foot house features nine bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and two half-bathrooms.

“The house includes a double-height, 17-foot great room, formal dining room, sunroom and a third floor,” according to the listing with Raymond Smith of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, one of the agents who marketed the property, according to Newsday.

The house, which was built in 1930 — along with a separate three-car garage that includes two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen — hit the market in February 2012 asking $26.5 million. It is located at 140 Meadow Lane. [Newsday] –Christopher Cameron
