The National Jewelry Exchange Building, a 78,230-square-foot office and retail tower at 2 West 47th Street, has sold for $56.46 million, according to public records filed with the city today.
The building last sold for $26.33 million in 2007, public records show. While the identities of the buyer and seller were not clear, the building is operated by ABS Partners.
Both a representative for ABS and an attorney for the buyer declined to comment on the deal.
The building is less than a block from Extell Development’s International Gem Tower, the first three floors of which will serve as a shopping center dedicated to precious gems. – Katherine Clarke
