Ex-Bear Stearns exec asks $9.2M for Belaire penthouse

Richard Harriton, the former head of Bear Stearns’ securities clearing arm, has listed his full-floor Belaire Condominium penthouse at Belaire Condominium for $9.2 million.

Harriton picked up the 3,650-square-foot pad at 524 East 72nd Street in 1994, according to city records. The four-bedroom pad has since been on and off the market repeatedly since 2010, asking between $8.79 million and $9.99 million. This time around, the top-floor digs are listed with Tal Alexander, Oren Alexander and Sarah Williams of Douglas Elliman.

The 3,650-square-foot home features a 700-square-foot wraparound terrace, a wood-burning fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows, according to the listing. The doorman building also boasts a 60-foot pool, children’s play room, health club and meeting room. [Curbed] — Angela Hunt
