From Luxury Listings NYC: The West Village apartment that appears to be the former home of Philip Seymour Hoffman is on the rental market for $9,995 per month.

Previous reports had stated that the fourth-floor, 1,100-square-foot unit at 35 Bethune Street hit the rental block for $10,500 per month in March — and had rented the following day. However, StreetEasy does not show records of this apartment having been rented at that time. It was not immediately clear whether the reported rental deal fell through, or if this is solely a price chop. [more]
