Details have emerged about the Virgin Hotel headed to NoMad. It will be a 38-story glass structure at 1205 Broadway, between 29th and 30th streets.
Little Italy-based Lam Group is developing the 440,000-square-foot property, which will hold 489 rooms and a 100,000-square-foot retail space. There will also be three restaurants and a banquet room. One of the restaurants will have access to a 12,000-square-foot outdoor space on the fourth floor.
The hotel rooms will begin on the fifth floor of the building, the New York Observer reported. The Virgin Hotel is expected to open in 2016. [NYO] — Mark Maurer
