These two futuristic towers could be the world’s tallest

If approved, the buildings would rise a full kilometer

WEEKENDEDITION Currently Dubai’s 1,969-foot Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest tower, but two new super tall and futuristic buildings could be coming to China.

If built, the Phoenix Towers by London-based Chetwoods Architects will become the tallest structures on the planet, even beating out the yet-to-built Kingdom Tower in Saudi Arabia, according to Buzzbuzzhome.

At 3,280 feet (one kilometer), the Phoenix Towers may be built on a site in Wuhan, China, a city of about 10 million people, if plans are approved. The project has an estimated price tag of about $2 billion and would be completed by 2017. [Buzzbuzzhome]Christopher Cameron
