A six-bedroom penthouse co-op at the Carlton House asking $65 million entered contract with an undisclosed buyer, according to StreetEasy data.

The 8,988-square-foot duplex apartment at 21 East 61st Street in Lenox Hill is tied with an adjacent six-bedroom townhouse for the priciest listing there. Extell Development and Angelo, Gordon and Company converted the site of the Helmsey Carlton House hotel into a 68-unit co-op building.

The unit, marketed by Extell, listed in October, records show. The 10,000-square-foot, five-floor, 35-foot-wide, unfinished limestone townhouse that’s part of Carlton House remains on the market.

A spokesperson for Extell declined to comment about the buyer in contract.
