Designer Tamara Mellon lists UES mansion for $34M

 The penthouse of the 1913 Carhart Mansion has hit the market asking $34 million.

Located at 3 East 95th Street, the duplex penthouse features 5,200 square feet of private terraces. The seller is famed fashion designer Tamara Mellon, who purchased the apartment from Edgar Bronfman, Jr. for $21 million in 2008, according to Curbed.

“The terraces are heaven,” Mellon told the Times, but she “wants to experience a more downtown vibe.”

More than just terraces, the mansion also features 10 rooms, five bedrooms, four wood-burning fireplaces, a solarium, and a 13-by-23-foot walk-in closet with “built-in shoe racks and discreet frosted windows that turn transparent at the top.” [Curbed] – Christopher Cameron
