Pie Face does about-face, shutters almost all NYC stores

Only the Hell's Kitchen location of the Australian pie- and coffee chain remains open

Pie Face, the Australian purveyor of sweet as well as savory pies, closed six of its seven New York City locations.

The chain closed its Union Square, Chelsea, Murray Hill and Midtown stores. The eatery’s Hell’s Kitchen location at West 36th Street and Ninth Avenue will stay open.

At the locations that closed, most of the interiors of the stores remained intact as of Thursday morning, according to DNAinfo. The Seventh Avenue and West 35th Street outpost was gutted, the website reported.
