William Randolph Hearst’s former penthouse at 91 Central Park West hit the market for $27.5 million.

In October, fashion designer Giorgio Armani went into contract for the apartment, and planned to create a full-floor unit by combining it with his adjacent penthouse. That deal now appears to have fallen through. What Armani paid for the property was not made public.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom penthouse features intricate woodwork, including hand-carved mahogany and oak doors that Hearst scavenged from European churches.

Photos show that the unit is probably in need of a renovation, but it boasts a terrace with incredible park views. [Curbed]TRD
