Cheapest, steepest listings to hit Manhattan this week

On the high end: a Walker Tower condo; on the low end: a Washington Heights co-op

The week’s most expensive listing was a six-bedroom, six-bathroom condo in Chelsea’s Walker Tower at 212 West 18th Street for $44.5 million. The price of the 12-room unit comes down to $6,379 per square foot. Douglas Elliman’s Michael Graves had the listing. The nearly 7,000-square-foot unit, which also includes 983 square feet of private outdoor space, is the largest that has ever been offered at the iconic Ralph Walker-designed tower. Actors Harrison Ford, Cameron Diaz, Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman are reportedly among the building’s residents.

Sotheby’s Serena Boardman had the week’s second priciest listing with a $40 million townhouse at 41 East 70th Street. The more than 13,000-square-foot Lenox Hill home was built in 1929 for Walter and Carola Rothschild. The six-story home lingered on the market for five years before selling for $30 million in 2012.
