Media General inked a 10-year lease for nearly 27,000 square feet at the Empire State Building.

The Virginia-based media company plans to occupy the full 62nd floor at the Empire State Realty Trust’s iconic 102-story building at 350 Fifth Avenue later this year, the New York Post reported. The 26,782-square-foot space is vacant and will soon undergo a renovation.

Douglas Elliman’s James Gross and Peter Gross represented the tenant, while the REIT’s Thomas Durels and Fred Posniak and a Newmark Grubb Knight Frank team led by William Cohen and Jonathan Tootell represented the landlord.

Asking rents at the property are in the $60s per square foot. [NYP, 3rd]Mark Maurer
