Hines has unveiled interior renderings of the new Jean Nouvel-designed MoMA tower at 53 West 53rd Street.

The 82-story building will hold 140 condominium units, ranging from $5 million to more than $50 million in asking price. The units will have bronze-framed entrances and 11-foot-high ceilings. Thierry Despont is handling interior design.

The property, between Fifth and Sixth avenues, will have a total of 442,357 square feet of residential space. The largest penthouse has 7,892 square feet spread over two floors. [NYT]Mark Maurer

If history is any indication, and Hancock Tower in Chicago is a prime example, units with the large crossbeam passing through will be the least desirable as it presents a substantial loss of view. But we’ll see.
