Kathryn Bigelow buys Tribeca pad for $3M

"Hurt Locker" and "Zero Dark Thirty" director just closed at 449 Washington St.

Kathryn Bigelow, Oscar-winning director of “The Hurt Locker”, is moving to Tribeca’s 449 Washington Street. Bigelow paid a shade over $3 million for the apartment at the boutique condominium development, according to property records filed with the city today.

The Corcoran Group’s Monica Novo had the listing for the 1,665-square-foot apartment, which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a balcony, and a wine refrigerator.

One of the buyers listed on the deed is the “Carmen E Maestro family trust.” Carmen and Maestro are, of course, Bigelow’s two beloved German shepherds.
