Part of the West Village’s charm comes from row upon row of 19th-century townhomes. But every so often, a modern take on that style can be spotted. Here’s a look at a few noteworthy examples via Ephemeral New York.


This former brownstone on Greenwich Street, east of Gansevoort Street, now features a facade made of glass and steel.


And just around the corner on Horatio and Greenwich streets, this three-story residence deconstructs the motifs of a more traditional home.
