The owner of the Houston Rockets has placed his Gramercy Park penthouse on the market for nearly $50 million.

Rockets owner Leslie Alexander is selling the 6,3000-square-foot duplex, located on the 17th and 18th floors of 18 Gramercy Park, two years after buying it for $42 million. Douglas Elliman’s Melanie Lazenby and Dina Lewis have the listing.

Alexander purchased the apartment from Zeckendorf Development and Global Holdings, who converted the prewar building at 18 Gramercy Park into condos, according to the Wall Street Journal. The 17-unit building was the most expensive residential development of 2013, according to CityRealty.

The four-bedroom penthouse features four terraces – one with a hot tub and another with a swimming pool and sun deck with a view of the Chrysler Building. [WSJ]Rey Mashayekhi
