RKF will be marketing the retail space at Macklowe Properties’ 1 Wall Street for lease.

The former home of the Bank of New York Mellon has a roughly 100,000-square-foot retail space, that could grow to 200,000 square feet, according to the New York Observer. “The Building Runs From Wall Street to Exchange Place On Broadway and (has) approximately 365 feet of frontage on Broadway, less the residential entrances, whatever those are,” RKF founder Robert Futterman told the newspaper.

Futterman is marketing the space together with RKF’s Peter Whitenack and Jackie Totolo.

Rents on the ground floor in the surrounding area range from $350 to $500 per square foot on the ground floor. Asking rent for the space in the basement will be in the $125 per square foot range.

Harry Macklowe‘s Macklowe Properties bought the property for $585 million last year and is converting the building into a residential project that includes a retail portion. [NYO] — Claire Moses
