The Landmarks Preservation Commission unanimously signed off on the designation of the Stonewall Inn at 51-53 Christopher Street as a landmark Tuesday. The move serves to shield the home of the Greenwich Village bar, largely considered the birthplace of the gay rights movement in the late 1960s, from demolition or redevelopment. — TRD
