Tribeca Associates is planning a new 26-story hotel at 143 Fulton Street in the Financial District, according to a permit application filed Wednesday with the city’s Department of Buildings.
The 88,000-square-foot development will include 228 rooms and retail space on the first and second floors. Ten rooms will span the building’s fifth floor, with 11 rooms on each of the sixth through 24th floors and nine on the 25th floor, according to the filing. The hotel’s third floor will include a lounge and bar.
The site, also known as 26 Ann StreetAnd Located Between Broadway And Nassau Street, currently houses a three-story, three-unit commercial building. No demolition permits have been filed. Tribeca Associates acquired the property’s ground lease for $54.1 million in 2014, according to city property records.
A representative at SLCE Architects, which is designing the hotel, confirmed the filing. Tribeca Associates could not be reached for comment.
The developer, along with Meadow Partners, recently sold a majority interest in the Bush Tower office building at 130 West 42nd Street to China Vanke.
