NYU medical center inks 40,000 sf deal at Essex Crossing

Lower East Side residents are getting yet another major new amenity at Essex Crossing: NYU Langone Medical Center has announced that it will open a new facility at megaproject.

The new facility will be the Joan H. and Preston Robert Tisch Center — an extension of the Preston Robert Tisch Center for Men’s Health, according to Curbed.

The 40,000-square-foot site will in fact serve both men and women, and provide “primary care, ambulatory surgery, urgent care, cardiac procedures, orthopaedics and sports medicine, plastic surgery, and more.”

The Tisch Center will be located at site 6 of Essex Crossing, at the corner of Delancey and Clinton Streets. Tisch will share the site with several dozen units of senior housing. The site is slated to open in late 2018. [Curbed] – Christopher Cameron
