Riverdale mansion built for Jesus’ return to hit the market

The home will list for $10M, down from $15M in 2012

Jesus Christ hasn’t yet made his reappearance, so a 17-room mansion built for the Nazarene in the Bronx is set to go on sale.

The 15,000-square-foot house, at 360 West 253rd Street in Riverdale, will list in February, asking $10 million.

Variously referred to as Chapel Farm, Fair Hill and Chapel Hill, the home was built in 1928 by a group called the Outer Court of the Order of the Living Christ, which sought to merge theosophy with Episcopalianism.

It was intended as a future home for Jesus himself, should he return. The seven-bedroom mansion sits on 2.3 acres of land, and featuring marble floors imported from the Vatican, Chandeliers From The Plaza Hotel, as well as a modern amenities such as a full gym, Sauna And A Terrace with a hot tub.
