Sheepshead Bay residents – along with the rest of us – can now get a good idea of what their neighborhood’s future tallest building will look like.

New renderings offer a glimpse of Muss Development and AvalonBay Communities’ proposed 331-foot, 30-story residential tower at 1501 Voorhies Avenue. It will be a towering glass-and-steel structure, soaring above the surrounding neighborhood.

The Perkins Eastman Architects-designed project will house 232 units, both rentals and condos, within 260,000-square-feet of residential space. An additional 15,000 square feet will be used as commercial space.

The partners initially filed plans in September 2014. They bought the site in April of that year, paying $16.2 million.

The Real Deal interviewed Muss principal Joshua Muss about his life and career in its August 2015 issue. [6sqft]Ariel Stulberg
