Developer and possible mayoral candidate Don Peebles has found a buyer for his $5.8 million mansion in northwest Washington, D.C.
Built in 1929 by philanthropist Christian Heurich as a wedding gift for his daughter, the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home, located at 4 Thompson Circle, features antique French doors, iron balustrades, hardwood floors, moldings and millwork spread across 9,710 square feet.
Peebles picked up the home in 2007 and spent less than seven nights a year there for the past three years, according to the New York Post. He broke even with the sale.
