At The Real Deal’s Real Estate Showcase & Forum in Toronto on March 30, some of New York’s biggest real estate players joined their Canadian counterparts to discuss investment opportunities in some of the key U.S. real estate markets.
The panel, moderated by TRD’s managing web editor Hiten Samtani, consisted of Michael Stern of JDS Development; Sharif El-Gamal of Soho Properties; Rick Rush of Hodges Ward Elliott; J.D. Parker of Marcus & Millichap; and Phil Soper of top Canadian brokerage Royal LePage. The panelists discussed the presence of Canadian investors in all sectors of the U.S. market, how the global economic turmoil could impact them, and, of course, the question of whether Donald Trump’s presidential campaign might affect investment.
