Neil deGrasse Tyson owns a new piece of the cosmos. The famed astrophysicist and his wife Alice Young are apparently looking to expand their digs at 145 Nassau Street in the Financial District. The couple paid $2.1 million for a second-floor apartment next to their current pad, property records filed with the city Friday show.The seller is the well-known German-American photographer Abe Frajndlich.

Tyson and Young have been living at 145 Nassau Street since at least 1994, property records show. The couple met at the University of Texas at Austin in the 1980s. Tyson, a Bronx native, became known to a broader audience as the host of PBS show NOVA ScienceNow. He has made cameo appearances in numerous movies and TV shows, including “The Big Bang Theory” and most recently “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
