Le Trapeze, one of the city’s oldest swingers club, loses lease

It’s survived vice squads, the AIDS epidemic and the recession, but NYC’s ruthless real estate market is finally shuttering one of NYC’s oldest swingers clubs.

Le Trapeze, the couples only sex club that opened in 1980 at 17 East 27th Street, can’t afford to renew its lease, according to the New York Post. Although, there’s no word on what the landlord is asking.

But before it closes, fans will have to opportunity to buy the well-used furniture.

“After the last night, they are giving away all the furniture and pillows, and the mats from the Mat Room. Gross,” one customer said. [NYP] –Christopher Cameron
