In 2019, the Shed, a flexible, performative structure that can physically change to host a broad range of performances, will open in Hudson Yards. But if you can’t wait until then to see the unusual building tack shape check out this fascinating animated video that demonstrates the building’s full range of possibilities.

Designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Rockwell Group, the Shed is a six-level building that includes two large scale, column-free galleries. It has 25,000 square feet of museum-quality space, a 500-seat theater, event and rehearsal space and an artist lab.
