The 26-year-old rapper Tyga landed in hot water after he skipped a court date over a half-a-million-dollar lawsuit with his landlord. Now, after a warrant was issued for his arrest, he has settled.

Tyga reached reached an agreement with the former landlord he allegedly owes $480,000, according to the New York Post.

“There has been a settlement reached to the mutual satisfaction of the parties, the terms of which are confidential,” Danny Abir, an attorney for landlord Gholamreza Rezai, told People.

The debt resulted from a Malibu house that Tyga rented from Rezai in 2012.

Tyga had claimed poverty, but after he purchased his girlfriend Kylie Jenner a $220,000 car, the landlord’s lawyers went after him.

“We have an irate client who is owed half a million dollars and then the client reads that Tyga is giving a Maybach as a gift — that’s in violation of two things,” someone named “Trayzon,” who is apparently involved in the case, told the Post. “There is a hold on him transferring any assets while there is a judgment outstanding — that’s going to be a separate action to recover that car unless the judgment is satisfied — and he’s to appear in court, be placed under oath and he needs to answer questions.” [NYP | People]Christopher Cameron
