After living in her Upper West Side apartment for three decades, novelist Lita Lepie claims the building’s new co-op president is attempting to oust her from her $1.5 million one-bedroom apartment.
Last year, a new resident moved into the four unit co-op, and eventually became president of the board. Now, in a $14 Million Manhattan Supreme Court suit, she alleges that he launched a crusade to oust her from the building, according to the New York Post.
The building is fighting back, however, claiming Lepie has installed heating and ventilation equipment along with a television satellite dish on the roof without permission. [NYP] –Christopher Cameron
