Bloomberg strongly backs eminent domain

Mayor Bloomberg on Tuesday came out vigorously in favor of the government’s right to seize private property by eminent domain. He said congressional attempts to limit eminent domain powers would have dire consequences for cities like New York. “You would never build any big thing any place in any big city in this country if you didn’t have the power of eminent domain,” Bloomberg said. more [NYT]
