A lack of small retail space may ultimately doom some businesses being displaced by the new Fulton Street transit hub in Lower Manhattan. A state Supreme Court justice asked by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to issue eviction orders to the businesses so construction can begin by Labor Day may give the businesses until after Labor Day to find new space.
