Mortgage activity up as rates plunge

Mortgage applications nationwide rose for the first time in four weeks during the week ended Aug. 4. At the same time, interest rates on long-term mortgages dropped to their lowest levels since March, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. more [USA Today]
