The Landmarks Preservation Commission unanimously approved plans for a high-concept playground planned for Burning Slip near the South Street Seaport. Architect David Rockwell designed the $2 million playground, which will have water, ramps, sand and “play workers,” or adults whose job is to help kids navigate the space’s features.
