DA: Lawyer robbed real estate clients

A lawyer was arrested yesterday and charged with stealing at least $500,000 from clients involved in real estate transactions. Gwenerva Cherry stole from a company that was in bankruptcy, two people who were trying to buy homes and two clients who wanted to invest in a group of Brooklyn apartments, said Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau. more [AP via NYDN]
