Developer Joseph Sitt has tweaked plans for his $2 billion, mixed-use development on Coney Island. Sitt’s plan, which calls for hundreds of units of housing as well as a new amusement park, would change the proposed location of over 900 condo units so they are not on the Boardwalk. Planning Commissioner Amanda Burden recently said Sitt’s proposed condos were out of place given Coney’s amusement zoning, raising speculation that the city would not approve Sitt’s plans. more [Post]
