National rental market strong

Across the U.S., apartment rents went up 1 percent in the first quarter of the year, while the average vacancy level remained relatively unchanged at around 6 percent, according to real estate research firm Reis Inc. The rental market’s strength is being attributed to the weakness in the for-sale housing market. more [WSJ]
