Kids drive Village park revamp

The kids are all right, but some of their parks need an overhaul. With that in mind, the group spearheading the transformation of La Guardia Park into a children’s garden is incorporating ideas for the space generated by children themselves. The nonprofit Friends of LaGuardia Place, which maintains the 50- by 440-square-foot park, is moving forward with renovation plans that will offer a kid friendly enclave near the soon-to-be remodeled Washington Square Park. The project will grow, in part, out of proposals generated by children who participated in a youth program at the Center for Architecture Foundation. more By Gabby Warshawer
