Groups seek LPC budget increase

Preservation groups are pushing for a $1 million increase in the city’s Landmark Preservation Commission’s 2008 operating budget, saying the commission is underfunded and understaffed. The commission, which has 69 staff members, currently receives more than 9,000 permit applications a year. more [Sun]
