Sale sets Ditmas Park record

The sale of a lovingly restored Victorian house in Ditmas Park closed yesterday for $1.9 million, setting a sales record for the central Brooklyn neighborhood, according to broker Mary Kay Gallagher. “It’s the highest sale in the neighborhood by far,” says Gallagher. The buyers in the all-cash deal are moving from a Greenwich Village co-op. Gallagher says the sale underscores that Ditmas Park is increasingly on the radar of Manhattanites, especially those with growing families. more By Gabby Warshawer
